Consultations

Our Local Plan consultation closed on 2 February. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to get involved.

We have received over 1,000 responses and it’s been fantastic to be out in our communities hearing your thoughts, ideas, and concerns.

We’re now going through all the feedback. Once that’s done, we’ll share a summary so everyone can see what people said and how it will guide the next steps.

Whether you filled in the consultation online or spoke to us in person, we’re grateful for every contribution.

The webpage was in support of our Regulation 18 “issues and options” Consultation to try to give as many people as possible the chance to have their say on the draft Local Plan.

When adopted, the Local Plan is the legal starting point for determining planning applications. It will help shape Torbay over the next 20 years.

Background information, the evidence base and previous stages of the Local Plan Update can be viewed on our Planning Policy webpages on the Torbay Council website.

You can still access the online Regulation 18 Draft Local Plan and Interactive Policies Map in the historic documents section below.
