Strategic Policy GIS: Green and blue infrastructure
Representation ID: 753
Received: 02/02/2026
Respondent: Devon Archaeological Society
While supporting this policy, the Devon Archaeological Society feels that it should refer to GBI often being sites and features of archaeological and historic interest. Conservation of these would be a multi-functional outcome. This is referenced in text section 10.11 of the heritage chapter, but it would be appropriate to see it referenced here.

Strategic Policy HES: Historic environment strategy
Representation ID: 756
Received: 02/02/2026
Respondent: Devon Archaeological Society
While supporting this policy, we recommend that it should refer to opportunities for wider public benefit through presenting information in a variety of formats (for example the DAS published archaeological and historic building work in the Proceedings of the Devon Archaeological Society). Information can be presented on site and at museums, as well as on-line.

Policy HE5: Investigation and preservation of archaeology and historic artefacts
Representation ID: 759
Received: 02/02/2026
Respondent: Devon Archaeological Society
While supporting this policy, we feel that the final paragraph should refer to archaeology, not just artefacts. Also to other forms of public benefit/dissemination of results than just publication. This could be explained in more detail in text section 10.37, for example referring to public open days, or information boards at development sites, as well as educational material.
