Chapter 8: Climate Change - Our sustainable and resilient future

Representation ID: 890

Received: 29/01/2026

Respondent: Marine Management Organisation (Statutory / General Consultation Body)

Representation Summary:

There are several themes within the draft plan that fall in line with our South Marine Plan policies. For example, Tourism policies could fit within the Tourism policies under Part 2- Tourism section of your consultation, while Water quality policies are relevant to your Strategic Policy ER3: Water Management section. In chapters 8 & 9 you discuss the South Hams SAC, for this, the MPA (1-4) policies may be useful to review. These, however, are just suggestions and there are many more policies, so please make your own interpretation of the South Marine Plan and its policies. The plan should reference the Coastal Concordat as required by the 25‑Year Environment Plan.
