We write to request the inclusion of Janet’s Trail in the Local Plan. This will start at the entrance to Berry Head
Country Park Grid Reference SX 940 562. An outline of the scheme is shown in the attachment. The project
will upgrade existing footpaths to accessible standards to provide a circular route for wheel chair users and
families with push chairs. The circular trail will provide access to the South West Coast Path enabling users
such as the disabled to enjoy one of our great assets.
The project will support the disabled and families and contribute to the Council’s plan to invest in Green
Tourism. It should be included in the next revision of the LCWIP. We look forward to a dialogue and to
inclusion in the appropriate sections of the Local Plan.
We have just placed the Feasibility Study contract for the project.
